WHAT TO BRING

To be prepared for a camping trip during Sukkot, you'll need a few essential items. Pack a sleeping bag, pillow, or bed linens, comfortable clothing and shoes, and toiletries. Don't forget things like a flashlight, sunscreen, and any necessary medications.

Essentials:

  • Sleeping: Tent, Sleeping bag, pillow, or bed linens for a twin mattress. 

  • Clothing: Comfortable clothes for varying weather, including layers, long pants, and a warm jacket. 

  • Footwear: Old tennis shoes, flip-flops/sandals, and an extra pair in case one gets wet. 

  • Personal Hygiene: Towel, basic bathroom toiletries, and biodegradable toothpaste/soap if appropriate for the environment. 

  • Light and Safety: Pocket flashlight, extra batteries. 

  • Sun Protection: Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat. 

  • First Aid: Small personal first aid kit (or know where to find larger ones). 

  • Hydration: Water bottle. â€‹

  • Weather Protection: Rain gear. 

  • Comfort: Portable cart/wagon for carrying gear, a blanket, and a comfortable chair if space allows. 

  • Entertainment: Bible, notebook, pen. 

  • Special Needs: Any medications, dietary needs (kosher, gluten-free, etc.), and supplements. 

  • Other: Modest swimwear if applicable, spending money, and a trash bag for personal trash.
